100 Kisses for Snohomish County

We believe that Snohomish County, Washington is a wonderful place. In addition to the beautiful scenery, and all the unique things to do, many outstanding women, who set inspiring examples of leadership and service, live and work within our boundaries.

The 100 Kisses Foundation would like to honor some of those women with our inaugural project — 100 Kisses for Snohomish County. What better place to begin our journey of helping Smile Train "Change the World, One Smile at a Time," than right here in our own backyard?

Here is how we plan to make it happen, and how YOU can help!

Bullet  ASSEMBLE OUR LIST OF NOMINEES
If you know of a woman who has gone the extra mile in their volunteer work with a community organization or charity, a woman who has established (or helped to establish) any organization that does exceptional charitable work or community service, or a woman whose labors and sacrifice within her family, school, neighborhood, or chosen profession has touched and enhanced the lives of those with whom she associates, then please tell us about her!

Please click on "Submit a Nomination" to send us an informational email about the person you wish to nominate. We will contact you and the nominee, and then (with everyone’s approval) post information about each woman on our "Vote for Honorees" page. (In order to protect the privacy of our nominees, we will require that all those who nominate or vote for any of our women, create an account and then sign in to our web site each time they visit.)

Bullet  SELECT THE 100 REMARKABLE SNOHOMISH COUNTY WOMEN TO BE HONORED
The majority of the women honored will be selected as a result of the public voting for their favorite nominees via the Internet. The others will be selected specifically by our Board of Directors. We hope to have our list finalized by June of 2014.

Each woman who becomes a 100 Kisses for Snohomish County honoree will be invited to make a monetary contribution to the 100 Kisses Foundation, as part of our fundraising for Smile Train. Their support networks, employers, and/or affiliated organizations are encouraged to be a part of the effort to raise as much money as possible in the name of their honored friend and associate - since helping Smile Train provide more surgeries for needy children is what this is all about.

Bullet  PROCURE THE LIPSTICK PRINTS AND SIGNATURES OF EACH HONOREE
Representatives from The 100 Kisses Foundation will assist the organizations affiliated with each woman selected, in arranging local awards ceremonies to honor every woman her for her service and example. Honorees will be interviewed, photographed, and then filmed - planting lipstick prints and signatures on the specially prepared pieces of paper which will make up the final work-of-art. This process should be completed by spring of 2014.

Bullet  ASSEMBLE THE "100 KISSES FOR SNOHOMISH COUNTY" WORK OF ART, AND PRESENT IT TO THE COMMUNITY
The project will culminate in a gala event that will include a banquet and an awards ceremony for the honorees and their guests, county and state dignitaries and leaders, special invited guests, and members of the press. A set minimum donation per plate will raise additional money for the project.

The final work of art will be unveiled, along with a booklet and DVD profiling the extraordinary service and sacrifice of each woman whose "kiss" is a part of the project. Profits from sales of the booklet and DVD will also go toward the fundraising for Smile Train.

The work of art will be donated to the people of Snohomish County for public display.
